(Please, notice this new information: It is easier to book by email with: Jegeltondeverevenues.co.uk.)
DeVere Sunningdale is a very pleasant venue, set in a park, with
modern buildings – conference centre, restaurant and residential block
(hotel), all very close together. The venue is also known as the National School
of Government. It should be possible for individuals to stay an extra day before
and after the event at the same prices.
London Heathrow Airport is about 20 kilometres away. However,
taxis from Heathrow to Sunningdale are very expensive. It will cost less if
you get the hotel to book you a taxi (both to and from the airport); there will
be more information about this on the website nearer the time. An alternative
way of getting to the hotel from the airport is to take the bus to Feltham Station
(bus 285 from Heathrow Terminals 1,2,3; bus 490 from Heathrow Terminals 4 and
5 – both are frequent). From Feltham Station there is a half-hourly train
service to Sunningdale Station. At certain times there is a free shuttle bus
from the station to the hotel. Sunningdale Station is also 45 minutes by train
from Waterloo; and this is the best way to get to central London if you wish
to do so during the weekend.
The ECSC will be directed by Dr Pavel Kamenik (Czech Republic).
It will take place in the Sharp Suite of the conference centre, on Saturday
morning and Sunday morning. Other events are planned for evenings and afternoons.
Prizegiving will be on the Sunday evening.
Updated information will be on the website.
We look forward to seeing you in Sunningdale!
